Srinagar, June 02 (KNB): Two militants were killed in an encounter that rages between militants and government forces in Saimoh in Tral belt of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
As per the reports, a cordon and search operation was launched by joint team of Awantipora Police, Army’s 42 RR and CRPF in Saimoh following some credible inputs, as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.
Earlier, one militant was killed in morning hours while the encounter ended with the killing of second militant.
The identification and affiliation of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.(KNB)
