Srinagar, July 31(KNB): Social activist, Moin Shafi Yawa appealed Jummu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik to release the due wages from last two years of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act(MGNREGA) job card holders of Chadoora, B K Pora areas of district Budgam.
Pertinently, most of the MGNREGA job card holders of the constituency have still their first or second installment pending under PMAY.
Moin urged Governor that funds shall be transferred in his favour by completing all the required formalities at an earliest so that poor poeple won’t suffer by ineffective administration.
While talking to Kashmir News Bureau, Moin said, “In view of the festival of Eid Ul Azha, this is the time that Govt would realize the difficulties of job card holders and should release pending material and labour payment of MGNREGA.”
He further said, ” many works are being taken up in constituency without the involvement of Dey Majlis and there they are asked for the intervention of Governor so that works must have to be taken with the involvement and priority of Dey Majlis as per the rules under 14th FC, CD Panchayat work and MGNREGA.”(KNB)
