Srinagar, June 02(KNB): Two more deaths due to coronavirus have been recorded in Kashmir Valley including a young government employee from North Kashmir’s Kupwara district taking the COVID-19 death toll in J&K to 33.
As per the reports, test samples of a
25 year old government employee Nazir Ahmed Wani, resident of Warnu Lolab, who was working as Store Keeper in Food Department after developing acute fever was shifted to District Hospital Handwara where from he was referred to SMHS Hospital and died there on Monday came today positive for the novel Coronavirus.
Besides testing positive for the novel Coronavirus, the young man was also suffering from acute pneumonia .
Earlier, an elderly woman resident of Khanpora Baramulla who died on Monday, her test reports came out to be positive today had also many comomodities like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and others.
As of now, the death toll due to the virus in J&K has gone upto 33 with 7 in Srinagar district, Baramulla with six deaths, Anantnag five, Kulgam four, two each from Shopian, Budgam and Jammu while one death each has been reported from Bandipora, Doda and Udhampur.(KNB)
