J&K BOSE declares 12th Class Results

Srinagar, Jan 11 (KNB): The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) on Thursday declared the class 12th results.
Around 55000 students had appeared in the examination among them 33893 students have successfully qualified. 4040 student have to reappear while 17230 have failed. The overall pass percentage is 61.44. The pass percentage of boys is 58.92 percent and that of girls is 64.31.




Burn Hall Higher Secondary school Srinagar and SRM Welkin Higher Secondary school have bagged the first three positions in science stream. The Nawakadal Girls Higher Secondary school in Downtown Srinagar has made its mark in commerce stream with three of its students bagging first positions. Similarly, a student from north Kashmir’s Baramulla has secured first position in Arts stream.
Pertinent to mention here, the 2001 attack Parliament convict Afzal Guru’s son Galib Afzal Guru has secured distinction in 12th class examination. The social networking sites in Kashmir flooded with congratulatory messages for Guru.
While talking to Kashmir News Bureau Ghalib said, “It is great moment for us though my mother expected more from me. Right now I am preparing for the NEET to be held on May 7. Today again I am missing my father, who would have been happy to watch me doing well in studies.”

Meanwhile senior Hurriyat leader Zaffer Akbar Bhat visited North Kashmir to congratulate Galib over his success. (KNB)
