BANDIPORA, APRIL 13: To boost the natural immunity of frontline workers who are working at high risk areas in health institutions and other departments dealing with COVID-19 preventive measures.
Nodal Officer, ISM Bandipora, Dr Iftikar Gazi, said that the immune booster medicines are being distributed as per protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH Government of India and following the directions of Director Indian System of Medicine (ISM) J&K, Jammu and Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza.
A team comprising of ISM Doctors and Pharmacists led by Medical Officer, ISM, Dr Mohammad Amin Kawa, today distributed free of cost immunity booster AYUSH Medicines at Block Medical Office Bandipora among front line health workers including the police personnel, medical and paramedical staff, Anganwari workers, ASHA workers, various other administrative officials who are working 24×7 to combat COVID-19. Station House Officer, Bandipora , Mir Saleem, was also present on the occasion.
Dr Kawa said that the department is distributing medicines among the field functionaries across the district and will continue the distribution of such free medicines in future also. He said besides distributing medicines, the ISM doctors and paramedical staff is actively working shoulder to shoulder with the department of Health in hot spot areas for survey purpose and establishing contacts of the suspects. He said awareness is also being genera among the locals by ISM regarding COVID-19 preventive measures.
