J&K records lowest number of covid 19 cases in a day

Srinagar 14 April (KNB): Jammu and Kashmir has recorded its lowest number of new coronavirus cases on Tuesday with only 8 positive cases and 14 recoveries for covid 19.

According to Kashmir News Bureau (KNB), J&K spokesperson Rohit Kansal confirmed that only 8 positive cases for covid 19 have been recorded on Tuesday and 14 recoveries.

“For now our luck seems to be holding!!! 8 new cases, 14 recoveries. New cases- 06 from Kashmir and 02 from Jammu Division.14 recoveries, all from Kashmir. Total cases now 278,”Tweets Rohit Kansal.

Talking to KNB, SKIMS official said, “Of 184 lab tests, 02 came positive from Bandipora district 01 from Gund Jehangir, 01 from Naidkhai.

Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Samir Mattoo today said that an aggressive sampling process has been launched in all the districts across Kashmir division stating that Directorate was aiming to take 800 samples per day said a statement issued to KNB
Earlier, 14 positive patients for Covid19 had completely recovered and have been discharged from chest hospital Srinagar, while three of them were from Bandipora district, officials said.

Meanwhile, after Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi announced to extend the lockdown till 03 May, Jammu and Kashmir govt has decided to continue the closure of schools, universities and other educational institutes.
Pertaintely, Govt has established a dedicated helpline number which will look after the complaints and grievances related to Covid19. (KNB)
