Srinagar, November :National Conference working president and former J-K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said that he conveyed to Centre’s interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma that if he stays inside guest house and keeps waiting for people then dialogue process won’t move forward.
While speaking to reporters after meeting Sharma, the NC working president said that interlocutor briefed him about his task that he has been given by the Government and sought his suggestions over carrying forward the initiative. “I hope Dineshwar Sharma implements the suggestions which I put forward before him over expanding the sphere of dialogue because if you would continue waiting in guest house for people then this process won’t work,” he said.
The former CM said that hopes to see more activities in his efforts next time when he would arrive again. “All of us want this issue to be resolved through dialogue so that people here spend their lives in peaceful environment,” Omar said, according to news agency GNS. Omar lashed out at Centre, saying the statements that came after the appointment of Sharma made his task difficult.
“I hope next time more people would be ready to meet Dineshwar Sharma. But the responsibility lies on Centre. Till now, the Centre instead of making task of Dineshwar Sharma easy has made it difficult,” he said. (GNS)
