On the occasion of 70th Independence day, Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti said on her speech that she is hopeful that the Supreme Court will uphold the special status of the state and reject any attempt to abrogate Article 35 A of the Constitution.
On her independence day speech at Bakhshi Stadium in Srinagar “She said Jammu and Kashmir is a crown of india, and there are some elements who want to create trouble and take us even back to 1947.
While talking about article 35 A Mehbooba said “I have faith in Supreme court of india when ever some elements target the special status of Kashmir, the apex court upheld Kashmir’s status. In last years they reject the plea, this time as well.
While addressing the Independence Day funtion, She also urged Kashmiri youth to shun guns and stones. “No Muslim country makes those guns which are being used today by Muslims to kill each other,” Mehbooba said.
