Handwara 21 January (KNB) A woman, who was in need for medical attention, was carried to hospital on a stretcher by the locals of Hangnikoot village of Handwara on Thursday morning.
The lady, according to locals, had developed some complications keeping in view her pregnancy and was later taken to the hospital on the stretcher with the help of the residents of the area.
By the strenuous efforts of locals the woman managed to reach the hospital for a medical look over after passing the snow-freezed roads which the authorities had failed to clear, locals said.
They added that this is not the first time that people of the area have suffered due to negligence of the administration towards the remote locality.(KNB)
