Srinagar, Dec 28 (KNB): People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Vice Chairman, State Advisory Board for the Development Gujjars and Bakerwals, Choudhary Zaffar Ali Khatana Wednesday tendered his resignation to Chief Minister from his post. Zaffar has mentioned in his resignation that he has been holding this position for last three years, without any power.
He stated -“People came to me with the hopes to get their genuine demands addressed but I have to cut a sorry figure as I have no power vested in the chair mentioned in his resignation letter.”
Talking to KNB reliable sources in the party said that allegation of the Khatana, that he has no power as VC of Board are baseless and was asked by the party to resign as his style of work was not satisfactory and for his poor performance in last three years the Chief Minister wants to replace him. After his resignation from the prestigious Post, hectic lobbing has started in the ruling PDP regarding selection of the new face. (KNB)
