Srinagar, June 21 : Suspected militants on Tuesday morning hurled a grenade towards Police Post Wanpoh in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district but it failed to explode.
Official sources told news agency GNS that the militants this morning lobbed a grenade towards the Wanpoh Police Post but the grenade didn’t explode and the cops immediately swung into action and they summoned Bomb Disposal Squad.
“The BDS sleuths defused the grenade and averted the tragedy,” said the official sources, adding that later a strict vigil was kept in the area on suspected persons. Last week, the militants attacked an under construction SOG Camp at Qaimoh in district Kulgam but there was no causality. (GNS)
