Jammu, Jan 30 (KNB): Member of Legislative Assembly Sat Sharma while briefing about the tensions over the line of control and International border said that they are in a plan to provide for the same facilities to the people who live at international border that are given to the people on line of control.
“International border is a specified border where firing and bombardment from the other side never used to happen, but now the situations are changing and even on the International Border these things are taking place”.
The international border along RS Pura, Hira Nagar, Arneya or other areas are suffering badly due to the tensions from both sides and they and they should also be given the same facilities as the people on LOC get.
The BJP leader while talking with KNB, further said that he is taking terms with the government over this issue and has been assured that a committee will be set up to look into this matter.
“I have been assured by the government that the backward facilities that are given to the people living on LOC will be also given to those who live on international borders and a backward commission has been set up for the matter which will take up some three to four months”.
He further added that people on both sides are suffering, their crops are being destroyed, their livelihood being snatched, their cattle are being killed as people on both sides are same. (KNB)
