One person injured when an electric geyser exploded in the early hours of today in gousia colony bemina of district Srinagar.
Locals said, “At around 5:30 we heard some kind of blast and we rushed to the house of Musadiq Hussian Malik where we found that electric geyser was explosed and a person namely Manzoor ahmad was injured under wall.”
A partition wall collapsed and the other walls developed big cracks, reports said.
Quoting experts, said that the accumulated steam in the geyser had caused the accident
Meanwhile, victim of the blast has been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Wani, and is being treated at the hospital.
According to experts steam blasts can be more powerful than LPG explosions.
