SRINAGAR: Pall of gloom has descended over Saidpora in city outskirts when body of Altaf Ahmed killed by CRPF men arrived in the area.
Altaf Wani, Father of 4 Daughters was killed after CRPF fired him after getting agitated over the death of their collegues in fidayeen attack.
Meanwhile sources said that Youngest daughter of Altaf Ahmed was crying and calling her slain father on window of her house!.
Thousands of people later attended the funeral prayers.
In view of the prevailing situation in Kashmir the government has decided to clamp curfew in Srinagar on Thursday. “Curfew would be imposed from Wednesday night in the City and on Thursday the movement of the people will be strictly restricted,” Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad Khan said adding that no movement of public or vehicles would be allowed in district Srinagaron Thursday.“In view of law and order situation and to avoid breach of peace and tranquility and damage to life and property, and in exercise of the powers vested to District Magistrate under Section 144 CrPC strict restrictions have been imposed on the movement of public and transport in entire district Srinagar from midnight of March 13, till further orders,” he said and added that Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar has been directed to implement this order in letter and spirit
Meanwhile reacting to the death of Altaf Ahmed, Syed Ali Geelani has called for Shut down in Kashmir valley on Thursday <14- March> and has also called for Peace full Protests all over the Valley against the killing of a civilian Altaf Hussain by Indian Forces CRPF.
When last report came massive clashes were going near Eidgah and adjoining areas of Srinagar.
