DU Graduate Tried To Join Join ISIS, Her Father Alerted NIA At The Right Time

A curious case of Islamic State (IS) radicalisation has come to the fore in India. For the past few weeks, Intelligence Bureau (IB) in Delhi are busy in trying to convince a young Hindu girl, in her mid 20’s who recently graduated from Delhi University college, that joining the IS is not a good idea.

This Hindu girl is the daughter of a retired Lieutenant Colonel of Indian Army. She went to Australia for three years for post- graduate studies. When she returned, she was completely a changed person.

Her  activities were reported to Intelligence sources by her father who approached the National Investigation Agency(NIA). He reportedly sought help from the NIA in counseling and motivating her. The agency in turn got in touch with the Intelligence Bureau which is now handling the matter.

The intelligence sources are taking up this matter very seriously and are busy in handling this issue carefully.
