Er. Rashid meets Sinha, says Kashmiris reject Vajpayee’s K-policy

Seeks unconditional talks with militant leadership

Srinagar, Dec 12 : AIP Supremo and MLA Langate, Er. Rasheed Monday said that during his one-and-a-half hour meeting with former Indian foreign minister Yashwant Sinha led delegation reiterated that J&K is not India’s integral part and the only way to resolve the dispute is holding a free and fair plebiscite on both sides of the LOC.

In a statement issued to KNS, Er. Rashid asked the delegation that Kashmiris have no confusion in their minds for what they want and stressed the need that India should understand that using force, pallets and killing innocents is not a solution to the problem.

He emphasised the need to talk to militant leadership and asked New Delhi to realise the bitter fact that it is militant organizations and added that the Kashmir movement is indigenous and labeling everybody who speaks for truth as Pakistani agent is unacceptable and unfair.

He added that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Kashmir policy has no takers and it is propaganda that Kashmiris liked Vajpayee’s stand.

Er. Rashid told the deputation that Kashmiris don’t seek a solution on communal lines but right to self determination will provide every citizen of the disputed territory to express his will and choice.
“Since the PM has also claimed that people of Gilgit, Baltistan and Pak want to be part of India and there is a parliament resolution supporting his claim, so Modi owes an answer to his countrymen that how will he fulfills the wishes he claims to have received from the people of Pak and Gilgit Baltistan, implement the parliament resolution and fill up the vacant seats in J&K Assembly,” he said.
Er. Rashid told the deputation that whatsoever is happening in J&K or whatsoever Kashmiris are seeking has nothing to do who rules the state.

He also rejected the version that only Kashmiris are seeking Right to Self determination and added that despite being worst victims of state terrorism and under constant threat of radical forces majority in Jammu province have stood strongly with Kashmiris.

“All those who come to Kashmir should answer that if they have a moral right to come Kashmir for the reason that Indian’s have approached Kashmiris every time when they took to streets or violence but do forget once things return to so called normalcy,” he added. (KNS)
