Srinagar, April 28(KNB): The death toll due to novel coronavirus rose to eight in Jammu and Kashmir after a woman from Rainawari Srinagar died at a hospital here on Tuesday.
As per the reports, the woman admitted at Chest Disease hospital Dalgate, after testing positive for the deadly Covid-19 on Monday succumbs to death on Tuesday taking the total death toll in union territory Jammu and Kashmir to 8 with seven from Kashmir and one in Jammu division.
Meanwhile, twenty more people tested positive of the coronavirus in Kashmir, taking the number of the Covid-19 patients in J&K to 566.
According to officials, Of the confirmed casses 10 were confirmed at Viral Diagnostic Lab of SKIMS Soura including five from Baramulla, four from Shopian and one from Kupwara while ten other cases were confirmed at the COVID-19 testing laboratory at Chest Disease hospital Dalgate and include eight from Anantnag district and two from Pulwama.
As of now 566 positive casses are in Jammu and Kashmir, 508 in the valley and 58 in Jammu division with 8 deaths and 167 recoveries so far.(KNB)
