Shopian 28 April (KNB): One militant was killed in an ongoing operation in Melhura Village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.
According to Kashmir News bureau reports, On a credible input, a cordon and search operation was launched jointly by the police, the Army and the CRPF in Melhura Village of Shopian district.
During the search operation, the hiding militants fired on the search party. The fire was retaliated leading to an encounter. One killed so far,” the police official said.
The militant was killed after the security forces blasted the house where the militant was holed up, sources said.(KNB)
