EDUCATIONAL-CUM-MOTIVATIONAL TOUR FOR YOUTH IN TRAL CONCLUDES

Tral: In an attempt to expose young minds to the rich and diverse culture and secular nature of our country and spread the message of goodwill, the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion based at Tral, under the aegis of Chinar Corps, organized an Educational-cum- Motivational Tour for 19 youths from various schools of Tral from 12 Jun to 24 Jun 2015.army 1

The youth were accompanied by one male teacher and Army team comprising of one Officer, one Junior Commissioned Officer and three Other Ranks. The Tour was flagged off from Tral on 12 Jun 2015 and visited the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad with an aim to expose young minds to the rich and diverse culture and secular nature of our country.  The youth visited various educational Institutes; historical locales like the famous Golconda Fort, Falaknuma Palace (now a Taj Hotel) and Salar Jung Museum; Nehru Geological Garden; Osman Sagar Lake; Tata Institute of Fundamental Research; commercial places such as ‘Amazon’, a leading on line shopping company; theNCC Directorate and Inorbit Mall.  While passing through Delhi, the tour visited the India Gate and National Science Centre.

The Tour was flagged in by Lt Gen Subrata Saha, GOC 15 Corps at Army Camp, Tral on 30 Jun 2015. In his interaction with the students, the GOC congratulated everyone for the successful completion of the Tour and motivated the youth to aim high and accomplish a better and bright future for not only themselves but for the state and the country as a whole. The mesmerizing flagging in ceremony was appreciated by one and all present during the occasion as the students together expressed their gratitude to Army for providing this rare and exceptional opportunity to tour other parts of the country.  The youth pledged to work towards achieving peace, harmony and progress of the country.

The education tour for the youth of South Kashmir is another milestone towards Army’s relentless efforts to promote peace, harmony and development in the state.  General Officer Commanding expressed his desire, in presence of the youth, to the parents to encourage their wards to participate in such programmes in future, which brings in a spirit of harmony and ignites aspiration to be the part of the mainstream progress so that they can be the future building blocks of the Nation.
