Baramulla Admin declare Ichloo Village as Red zone after 9 cases reported

Baramulla, May 03(KNB): The authorities on Sunday declared Ichloo village of Tangmarg Baramullain as red zone in view of a cluster of nine positive cases of COVID-19 in the area.

An order copy issued to Kashmir News Bureau dated 03-05-2020 state that District Administration Baramulla has declared Ichloo village of Tangmarg as red zone while as Hoom,Devedrager,Haipora,Ratnipora, villages have been declared as buffer zones.

Locals while talking to Kashmir News Bureau alleged despite the rising number of positive cases the village no action was taken to declare it as red zone.

Pertinently, four positive cases were reported on 30th April, still the authorities were yet to file the said village in the red zone list.

Locals said, ” Although road leading to the village is blocked but the village is not officially declared as red zone.”

Meanwhile, Residents alleged that more than 5 families have been put under administrative quarantine but there have attempts of robbery in the houses of quarantined families also.

While talking to Kashmir News Bureau SDM Tangmarg Shabir ul Hassan said, ” we have declared it as red zone,we have got the declaration for the same and barricades have been put in place to block the roads leading to the village,people must stay indoors to prevent the spread of deadly virus.”(KNB)
