35 Fresh Cases, Covid 19 cases cross 700 mark in J&K

 

Srinagar, May 03 (KNB): The number of total positive cases of novel Coronavirus crosses 700 mark in union territory Jammu and Kashmir, after 35 more people tested positive on Sunday.

As per the reports, among the 35 new positive cases 11are from Kupwara, 05 from budgam, 04 from shopian, 03 from baramulla, 01 from pulwama and 10 from Anantnag and one from Jammu division.

J&K administration principal Secretary Rohit Kansal tweeted, “Finally J&K breaks the 2000 tests a day barrier. Over 2500 tests conducted in a day. New positives 35; Recoveries 33. Total Cases now 701( Kashmir 640, Jammu 61).”

According to SKIMS Officials, a total of 826 Samples were tested at viral Diagnostic Lab of SKIMS out of which 24 tests reported positive till now.

Moreover, out of 846 samples tested at CD Hospital Srinagar Lab, 836 came negative while 10 came positive and all from Anantnag

Meanwhile, 27 more COVID19 patients were discharged from SKIMS Bemina Srinagar, after recovering successfully from deadly infection.

As of now, a total of 701 cases are confirmed in the union territory Jammu and Kashmir with 404 cases active, 8 deaths and 254 recoveries so far.(KNB)
