Langate, 02 July 2015. A Roza Iftar Dinner was organised by Army Camp, Langate on 01 Jul 2015. The occasion was graced by various civil dignitaries, JKP Officials, Moulvis, village sarpanches /numberdars, elders and children.
The event icluded offering of ‘Magrib Namaz’ after ‘Iftar’ and a religious discourse by Moulvi followed by Dawat -e- Iftar. Army senior officers also attended the function and conveyed their good wishes to the Awam of Qaziabad on behalf of the Army.
Mr Abdul Rashid Engineer, MLA Langate was also present for the occasion. In his address he thanked Army for such a wonderful initiative. “The cooperation of Army and Awam can only bring normalcy in the valley and normalcy will only bring the development in the valley” he added. Mr Ghulam Nabi Panditpuri & Mr Javed(leaders of PDP), Advocate Abdullah Mir(leader of PC), Mr Gelani(SP, Handwara), Mr Ifroz (SDPO, Handwara), Mr Baljit Singh(DSP Operations, Handwara), Mr Mir Gafoor(DSP Operations, Karalgund), Mr Mohd Hussain(ADC, Handwara), Mr Sadiq Mir( Pradhan, Langate) along with large numbers of other civil dignitaries graced the occasion.
The Awam of Qaziabad highly appreciated the event. The celebration of Dawat – e- Iftar with locals redefined the existing rapport between the Army and the Awaam.
