Kashmir has been burning since last four months. Killings, arrests, blinding, injuries , school burning, Four months of continuous shutdown have defined the war like situation in Kashmir.
What is shocking is a clueless state government, that has failed to provide any concrete confidence building measures that can bring back life atleast to semblance of normalcy.
Masses and Experts believe that in mid of these gruesome happenings the state government has virtually done nothing to ease out the situation. An Analyst, while talking to The Kashmir Scenario stated – “ It is a record breaking shutdown. Kashmir economy has collapsed like anything. We have seen the young getting killed, wounded arrested and schools being burnt down and closed since four months, but nothing concrete has been done by the State Government to bring life back on tracks in Kashmir.”
With this shutdown setting a world record of its own, masses in Kashmir are crying where is their government ? what is government doing to correct the situation?. The answer so far looks a dismal one- Government locked in narrow corridors, lack of vision and policy paralysis.
