AB-PMJAY SEHAT Scheme Launched in J&K

Bandipora 26 December (KNB): A function was observed at Bandipora district headquarters in which District Commissioner Dr Owais Ahmad and Senior Superintendent of Police Rahul Malik were present to witness the live launch of SAHAT scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As per the statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau the newly elected members of DDC , ADC Bandipora Zahoor Ahmad Mir, ACR Bandipora Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, CMO Dr Bashir Ahmad, Dy CMO, ACD, CEO, DSWO attended the function in addition of a large section of people from Bandipora district.

During the function, the DDC congratulated residents for getting eligible for the world’s largest insurance scheme.
He stated that any resident of the district can get his golden card by visiting the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) to register themselves.

The scheme provides economic security of Rs 5 lakhs per family.
He further instructed CSC teams and Doctors to ensure speedy registration of beneficiaries on the portal.

“DC directed the conducting of Block Level Registration Camps on mission mode to ensure 100 percent coverage of the scheme and said that more than 20,000 registrations have been completed so far,” the statement read.

There are 52 CSCs functional across the district wherein people can get registered for availing benefits under the scheme.

As per the statement, similar functions were held in all 5 medical zones in the district in which BDC chairpersons, BMOs, health officials and others participated to witness the launch.

According to the statement the DC Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad at the end of function distributed around 2000 Golden cards among poor beneficiaries out of total 18000 registered beneficiaries on the portal.(KNB)
