An elderly man died after being hit by a Sumo in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a speeding Sumo (JK05B-3981) hit an elderly man in Ganapora area of Kupwara falling in the jurisdiction of the police station Kralgund.
The victim identified as Muhammad Yousuf Bhat of Ganapora village was shifted to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police have seized the Sumo, arrested the driver, and registered a case under relevant sections of law. KNT
