Police Arrests 5 Militant Associates For Pasting Threat Posters in Tral

Awantipora 16 January (KNB): Police arrested five militant associates on Saturday in South Kashmir’s Awantipora who were involved in the pasting of threat posters of the militant outfit in Seer & Batagund villages of Tral area.   

As per police, the incident of pasting threat posters of militant outfit was seen on 13 of this month in Tral following which an investigation was carried out during which multiple places were raided and rounded up several suspects.

“During the questioning of suspects and collection of other evidence 05 militant associates were found to be involved  in pasting of the said threat posters in Seer and Batagund area and were accordingly arrested in the said case,” said the police. 

The arrested terror associates have been identified by police as Jehangir Ahmad Parray S/o  Ghulam Nabi Parray, Aijaz Ahmad Parray S/o Gh Mohammad Parray, Towseef Ahmad Lone S/o Mohammad Ramzan Lone,  Sabzar Ahmad Bhat S/o Abdul Rashid Bhat and Qaisar Ahmad Dar S/o Gulzar Ahmad Dar all residents of Gulshanpora Tral.

During the investigation, police have recovered one laptop and a printer used for the preparation and printing of the threat posters. 

However, an FIR number 04/2021 under relevant sections of Unlawful Activities Act stands lodged in police station Tral with more investigation going on. (KNB)
