Srinagar 16 January (KNB): As the vaccinations to contain the spread of Coronavirus starts throughout the country, the Skims soura also started the vaccination drive this morning by giving vaccine shot to Director SKIMS, Dr A G Ahangar in the presence of Advisor to Lt Governor R R Bhatnagar and Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Choudhary.
According to officials, almost 4000 health workers are to be administered by Covid19 vaccine at 40 sites across the J&K today.
However, the preparations regarding the vaccination drive at SKIMS soura were already made by the authorities and the beneficiaries administered today by the vaccine shots were kept in the observation areas for the 30 minutes as per the guidelines already given.
As Kashmir’s health workers and frontline workers are being inoculated from this morning, the Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha has inaugurated the vaccination drive today at the winter capital Jammu during which the beneficiaries falling in the prioritized group selected by the central government will be given a vaccine shot.
