Cause of fire yet to be ascertained

Bandipora, 21 October 2017: Around 68 structures were gutted in a fire that broke out at Kilshay village of Gurez in district Bandipora on Saturday morning.
According to reports, “Sixty eight structures were gutted in a fire that erupted from a residential house in the Kilshay locality. The fire spreads and engulfed over sixty structures.”
The 68 structures include 35 residential houses, 20 cowsheds, 10 non-residential structures, a mosque, a school and a rented ICDS Office building.
People in Gurez store dry timber inside their houses in view of approaching harsh cold season.
“Local administration has reached to the spot and relief material under Red Cross has been dispatched in area” said an official.
There was no immediate report of any immediate loss to life.
Meanwhile, fire has been brought under control.
However, The cause of fire is being ascertained.
