Srinagar, June 08(KNB): With third death reported from Kashmir valley on Saturday of a 65 year old male from district Kupwara, the covid-19 death toll climbed to 44 in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the reports, a 65 year old male resident of Handwara of north Kashmir’s district Kupwara who was admitted in Chest Disease hospital Srinagar became the third victim of COVID-19 in a day, however besides testing positive for the Coronavirus he was very sick and had many underlying issues.
Earlier, a CRPF personnel and a 35 year old man from from Khanyar area of Srinagar, who had met an accident and had contracted the deadly virus, succumbed at CD hospital, Srinagar.
As of now, Jammu Kashmir has reported 44 deaths so for due to Coronavirus, among which 2 are non locals including a trooper, 5 are from Jammu and 39 from Kashmir. (KNB)
