28th Road Safety Week concluded in Bandipora

Journalist Suhail Rather felicitated during conclusion ceremony




Bandipora,14 January 2017: To spread awareness among general public about the road safety measures and traffic rules, a Road Safety Week which kick started last week concluded here today at Sher i Kashmir Sports stadium Bandipora of this North Kashmir’s District.

The theme of this year’s Road Safety Week was “Your safety, secures your family – Be cautious on Roads.

”The conclusion programme was organised at Sheri Kashmir Sports Stadium Bandipora where Assistant Regional Transport Officer Bandipora Mukhtar Ahmad in presence of World kickboxing champion Tajamul Islam who defeated USA in world kickboxing championship which was held in italy last year besides other Motir Vehicle Department officials distributed certificates and trophies among drivers and other personalities who participated in this road safety week.

Speaking On the occasion ARTO Bandipora, Mukhtar Ahmad said that it is the moral responsibility of every individual to spread message of road safety and hazardous effects of aggressive driving.

He said that road safety week started last week has concluded.

It was organised with the aim of following traffic rules and safe driving.




Meanwhile, correspondent Suhail Rather was also been felicitated during the ceremony.
