Vaisahw nallah in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir has wreaked havoc in Kulgam district by damaging bridges, diversions and destroying paddy and other cultivation.

The Nallah, it may be mentioned, washed away many villages during the devastating deluge of September last year.

With its origin at Kounsarnag in Aharbal, it contributed to the swelling up of Jhelum river last year.

Meanwhile, MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yusuf Tarigami accused the government of not being proactive.

He said they should have taken care of Vaishaw Nallah before it started to rain heavily.
