Wular Lake International Short-Film Festival begins In Baramulla On 24th May

The first edition of Wular Lake International Short-Film Festival (WLISFF)  organized by Krack Productions marking 2nd anniversary Indie-Filmmaker group with longest-ever lineup of movies across the globe.




In total 45 movies from over 30 different countries will be screened at a festival which is expected to attract some 1000 viewers. The highlights include 1 World Premiere, 1 International Premiere along with Asian and Local Premiers including the Trailer of Kashmiri language feature film “Half-Widow”.

The films have been shortlisted by a selection committee comprising of renowned people from film industry, school of Cinema Studies and theatre including after untiring efforts.The committee has shortlisted 40 world-class films from about 500 entries received from more than 40 countries.

Syed Basharat Ahmed Bukhari,Hon’ble Minister for Horticulture in the presence of  Syed Altaf Bukhari,Hon’ble Minister for Education have very kindly consented to preside over the function.

The goal of WLISFF is to encourage cultural diversity and understanding between nations, to foster the cinema of all continents by stimulating the development of quality cinema, to discover & encourage fresh talent in our state. Genres entertained during the selection process are films related to Women empowerment, Children Films, Social issues, Human rights, Mankind & Nature.




This is a good opportunity for Film/TV professionals, Media Students and Movie buffs to witness a wide spectrum of world cinema including International Competition, Iranian package and the best of Indian Panorama on May 24 at Sherwani Hall.
