‘World’s second best ‘Srinagar airport’ gets 4G Wi-Fi service’

Srinagar | Mar 11: It might sound crazy, but the fact is that Srinagar International airport which was recently announced as the “World’s second best airport” has finally got the Wi-Fi service

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Kashmir added this feather in its cap by commissioning state of art 4G based  WiFi HotSpot services at Srinagar International Airport, an official statement said on Friday.




The services were inaugurated by Dr. Asgar H. Samoon Divisional Commissioner Kashmir at Srinagar Airport in presence of Mohammad Salim Beg, General Manager Telecom.

Speaking on the occasion, Samoon welcomed the initiative of the Company and hoped that the new services will provide succor to the passengers more importantly to the tourists who are visiting the picturesque valley.

In his address, GMT Kashmir, Salim Beg stated that the services will be extended to other parts of Kashmir to facilitate customers with high speed internet service through Wi Fi hotspots.




The spokesperson for BSNL informed that the Wi Fi services will be free for the first 15 minutes. The passengers have to login after turning on WiFi services on Laptop/ Smartphone’s or any wireless devises. The BSNL-TWiFi prompt will come and the passengers have to register and will be provided with OTP (One time password). After verification the passengers will access browsing with BSNL Wi Fi Hot spot. The first 15 minutes will be free and after that if the passengers want to continue they will be redirected to payment gateway after selecting the desired plan.
