‘Will put him behind bars if he continues anti-national speeches’
Srinagar May 3: The Jammu and Kashmir government Sunday said that it will not allow Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s “provocative speeches which lead to serious law and order problems in the Valley.”
“The government feels that whenever Geelani is allowed to address a gathering at any place, it is followed by a provocative speeches and stone pelting, leading to serious law and order problem. We will not allow it to happen. We will not allow him to disturb peaceful atmosphere of Jammu and Kashmir. If he continues his anti National speeches we will put him behind the bars,” BJP leader and Health and Medical Education Minister Lal Singh told over phone
He said that government won’t allow antics of one person to result in law and order disturbances, “which cause miseries and sufferings to general masses and adversely affect education of children and trade of business fraternity.”
It is pertinent to mention here that on Friday the rally addressed by Geelani at Tral, witnessed pro-Pakistan sloganeering and waving of Pakistani flags.
Geelani also accused Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed of facilitating anti-Muslim agenda of RSS in
Jammu and Kashmir. “Many people say PDP is a lesser evil but this party is more dangerous than any other party. Mufti only holds the chair but the power and authority lies in Nagpur and it is the writ of (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi and (Union Home Minister) Rajnath (Singh) which runs the state,” Geelani alleged.
