With 40 fresh Covid-19 cases, J&K records highest cases in 24 Hours

Srinagar 25 April(KNB): J&K recorded the biggest spike in daily new cases of the novel coronavirus since the first case was reported on March 18 of this year.

In last 24 hours, J&K recorded fresh 40 positive cases for deadly covid19, taking the number of cases to 494.

According to Kashmir News Bureau, “J&K Spokesperson Rohit Kansal informed that 40 fresh cases have been reported from Kashmir Valley.”

“Finally J&K breaks the 1000 test barrier- 1071 samples tested in the last 24 hours. But that also means more positives- so 40 new cases today- all from Kashmir. Total positive cases now 494. Jammu-57 Kashmir-437. An unfortunate death too; total deaths now 6.” Tweets Rohit Kansal

“Out of 431 samples, 14 came positive, 417 negative, Among 14, 07 are from Bandipora, 03 from Shopian,03 from Baramulla and 01 from Kupwara.” said Skims official

Earlier, 21 positive cases were reported from south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, while 05 cases also reported from Srinagar district in the morning from CD Hospital Dalgate Srinagar.

Pertaintely, 76-years old Tangmarg man died early in the morning due to deadly Coronovirus at SKIMS Bemina, taking the death toll to 06 in Jammu and Kashmir, Among 06 deaths, 05 are from Kashmir division and 01 from Jammu division.

Out of the total 494 cases,  437 were reported from Kashmir and 57 from Jammu division. Till now 109 patients have recovered and six deaths reported.(KNB)
