Srinagar 27 July (KNB): Director General of Police SP Vaid on Saturday said that we are verifying the facts and policemen men should take safeguard to avoid such kind of incidents.
While talking with reporters on sidelines of a passing out parade function organized by BSF in Humhama, Vaid said “We have received information about the abduction of Mudasir and we are in contact with family, perhaps family has said that he has gone to his relatives, but still Police is verifying it.”
When asked about the checking of mobile phones of people in Srinagar, Vaid said “Checking is important and it is safety for you people”.
When asked about youth joining militancy in south Kashmir Vaid said “Youth are coming back and it is good sign for Valley.
Pertinently, Special police officer (SPO), Mudasir Ahmad Lone of Chankatar village in Tral was abducted by suspected militants on Friday night from his home in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.(KNB)
