Two Poonch students held for unfurling Pak flag on Aug 15

Poonch, August 17 : Two students have been detained by police for allegedly unfurling Pakistani flag and giving it a salute inside a government in Poonch district on Auguts 15 when India celebrated its independence.




Official sources said that two students have been held for unfurling Pakistani flag inside closed classroom of Boys Higher Secondary School Mendhar in Poonch. Sources said the pictures of the unfurling of Pakistan flag went viral on social media.

After the incident, police took the cognizance of the matter and launched investigations into it. So far two students have been detained in to the case, the sources added.  SHO Mendhar meanwhile confirmed the detention of two students and said probe is on. (GNS)
