Pulwama, May 18(KNB): Two militants killed in ongoining gunfight with the security forces in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Following the credible inputs about the presence in the area , a joint team of army and SOG launched a cordon-and-search operation in the area in the Panzgam village and hiding militants fired indiscriminately on security forces triggering an encounter”
“Two militants have been killed and their bodies have been recovered. Although firing exchanges have now stopped, the operation is still on,” a police officer said.
Meanwhile, reports are coming that after a lull period a fresh firing has started as security forces located the third militant hiding in the locality.
According to the source one of the slain militant is identified as the Showkat Ahmad Dar resident if Panzgam affiliated with HM.
However, there was no immediate official confirmation of the identity of the slain.(KNB)
