Doda, May 17(KNB): Two militants and an army soldier were killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Sunday during an ongoing encounter with security forces.
According to the reports a joint team of Police, army’s 10 RR launched cordon search operation based on intelligence inputs in Dachhlana Padyarna and soon turned into an encounter when the suspected militants opened fire at the forces, who then retaliated, triggering an encounter.
Earlier, a militant and army soldier were killed in the encounter and with one more militant being killed the toll touched to three.
The identification of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
Moreover, two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were arrested in Doda district past month.
