Tangmarg, May 05(KNB):  The inhabitants of North Kashmir’s Tangmarg alleged administration of not deploying security in the village declared a red zone after many cases have been tested positive.

Locals of the village in Tanmarg area of Baramulla district fear that they may witness a community transmission of Covid-19 pandemic as a deter action has been there from the administration even after 14 people came positive from the village no  security forces have been deployed in the area to restrain  the movement as people from other villages make a shortcut through the said village which may prove disaster for the whole area.

Locals said, there has been an attempt of robbery in area where robbers barged in a house after breaking the window in an interviewing night whose 3 family members were tested positive on 30 April,2020, Robbers had taken the advantage of an engagement ceremony going on  in the family and boxes and lockers were broken by the miscreants.

When  Kashmir News Bureau contacted SDPO Tangmarg, Hilal Khaliq regarding security issue and robbery attempt in the house of quarantined family, he said “The matter is being investigated and case has been registered in this regard, basically people of the area and importantly those who tested positive are showing resistance and reluctance towards being shifted to administrative quarantine,we will find it soon whether they are doing it deliberately to avoid being shifted to  quarantine centre or it was really a robbery attempt”.

“For sure we have deployed  the forces at every nook and corner of the village, what is missing is the cooperation of the public, as today the ichloo villagers denied to go for the sampling of Covid-19 and  have also threatened Nodel officer of the area for dire consequences”, he further added.(KNB)
