Three drug peddlers arrested by Rafiabad police,200 grams of Charas recovered

Rafiabad 25 March(KNB):Continuing its war against the drug menace Rafiabad police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered charas in the Dangiwacha of Rafiabad in North Kashmir’s Baramulla on Tuesday evening.

A police official told that acting on a specific input about drug peddlers a checkpoint was established at ladoora and during checkpoint police intercepted three notorious drug peddlers identified as Arif Rashid Dar s/o Ab  Rashid resident of Fatehgad sheeri,Bilal Ah Dar s/o Gh Rasool resident of Hewan Sheeri and Umar Farooq s/o Farooq Ah Dar Fatehgad Sheeri Baramulla and recoverd 200grams of Charas from their possession

SHO Dangiwacha Mr Ashiq Hussain while talking to Kashmir News Bureau told that Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law.

“Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace as reiterated in our community meetings”SHO added.

Meanwhile a case in this regard under FIR No.28/2020 u/s 8/20 NDPS stands registered in PS Dangiwacha and further investigation has been taken up.(KNB)
