The institution has a total roll of 110 students. During the census, these two got engaged with the Census duty and later with the elections, the whole education came to the standstill.
“We have nothing here. Not even water,” says Ifra, a 6th standard student. She adds the school has no toilet and dogs are roaming freely in the lawn’s of the school.
Sources say the school had not received the MDM bill’s of year 2014, also school have not received maintenance grant’s for last several years.
The one story building of just six rooms and two two teacher’s have to adjust for other classes on the open sky even in this cold.
“We have conveyed the issue to higher authorities many times but nothing has been done,” a teacher has said.
When this reporter visited the school 30 of the 110 students were absent because the school doesn’t have basic facilities.
Last year a brilliant student Rozy had to drop the school, when asked the reason, she termed the “poor facilities”.
“There is no library, no toilet facility, no drinking water, no electricity. The school is crumbling for need of basic facilities,” Rozy said.
