Over 150 students came out on the road in panzlla Rafiabad in north kashmir’s Baramulla district and blocked it to vehicular traffic.They said the school has only two teachers who always remain absent from school hampering their education.
The students who were accompanied by their parents and other locals blocked the Panzlla-Rohama road from 10 AM to 12 PM and disrupted the traffic movement. The students raised slogans against the concerned ZPO and against ZEO Rohama.one of the parents of protesting students said that there are only two teachers in Government Girls middle school panzlla and only four teachers in Government boys middle school panzlla but they remain absent from the school and only come to draw their salaries.

The students suspended their protest and cleared the road when Tehsildar Rohama and ZEO Rohama Mr Gh Mohd Batkaloo visited the spot at 12 PM and assured the protestors that they will take up the issue with higher authorities to redress it as early as possible and they also assured the students that strict action will be taken against the teachers who remain absent from school.
