Sopore Police arrests two gamblers; Stake money of Rs15000 recovered

Sopore 10 June(KNB): Sopore Police on Friday arrested two gamblers in orchards of Village Batsuma and recovered stake money of 15000.

In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, police said based on a specific input, a gambling site in the orchards of village Batsuma was raided by a team of Police Station Dangiwacha, and arrested two gamblers, identified as: Irshad Ahmad Shah S/O Muhammad Yousuf Shah and 2. Javaid Ahmad Shah S/O Abdul Razak Shah both the residents of Batsuma Rafiabad. Stake money ₹ 15000, playing cards and a mobile phone were recovered from the gambling site.

In this regard case FIR No. 67/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha.

Sopore Police requests general public of the Police District to report any immoral or illegal activity noticed or taking place in their localities.(KNB)
