Appeals Donors to donate for needy people
Srinagar, June 05(KNB): Amid global Pandemic, Society for Social Transformation an NGO had come forward and joined the fight against the Covid-19 to improve the lives of the underprivileged by starting fund raising in this panicky scenario, an assessment in and around the valley to determine the low income families who require assistance.
The NGO is gathering funds to help the needy ones who have got affected due to Coronavirus to distribute items like food kits, masks, soaps, hand sanitizers and even instructional material on personal hygiene items wherever there is a shortage, the NGO is keen on delivering them door to door through community and health workers.
Pertinently, several non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and social groups have come forward to distribute relief material, including dry ration and sanitary napkins, among people at the risk of being left out of the beneficiaries’ list in view of the giant lockdown imposed to contain the spread of Coronavirus.
President of NGO Society for Social Transformation Malik Sumeed while talking to news agency Kashmir News Bureau said, “We have started fundraising for the needy people who are affected due to deadly Covid-19 andwe are getting good response so far. We appeal donors to donate by heart because someone needs your hand. People who are in need of food items can also contact us. We will try our best to reach them.”
