Snowfall to Continue Tomorrow, Impacts More on South Kashmir: Sonum Lotus

Srinagar 04 January (KNB): As Kashmir valley witnessed snowfall yesterday and fresh fall from early morning, the Director MET, Srinagar Sonum Lotus has said that the wet spell is going to remain till tomorrow.  

According to the Lotus, the ongoing snowfall in Kashmir valley which was predicted from the 3rd January by the MET will be going to continue till tomorrow Tuesday. 

“Our prediction of bad weather in the valley from 3rd to 5th January with widespread snowfall has held good. The snowfall was forecasted to be from heavy to very heavy. However, this is going to remain till tomorrow,” Lotus said.

He further said that the snowfall falling in fits and starts in Srinagar may peter out in its intensity, but can impact heavily on South Kashmir.

Meanwhile, to lessen the problems of the people compounded due to continuous snowfall, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation workers have gird up their loins since early morning to make roads passable for both the commuters and vehicles. (KNB)
