Jammu 21 January (KNB): A sniper shot by Pakistan critically injured a trooper of infantry regiment of the Indian Army at a forward post in Mankore area along the Line of Control, in Poonch district of Jammu division today.
Officials said that a trooper from 10 Jammu and Kashmir Rifle, identified as Hawaldar Nirmal Singh, sustained a serious injury on his chest because of the sniper shot, which was taken from across the LOC by Pakistan.
He was immediately shifted to a command hospital at Udhampur in a chopper, officials said, adding that his condition is critical. (KNB)
