Former PDP leader Shahzad Asim on Sunday along with thousands of supporters joined Congress.
Welcoming Asim in the party JKPCC chief G A Mir Said the people are wise enough to understand the situation being created to vitiate the atmosphere of peace in the state.
Mir lashed out at PDP BJP coalition and added that the government has failed at the fronts. PCC Chief said that the joining of Shahzad Asim and Fayaz Ahmad Malik in Congress has rejuvenated the Congress party in the region.
Asim said the PDP is a party of deceivers. “Its coalition with BJP has flooded all the past efforts of PDP in J&K. Self Rule has reduced to a paperless document now,” he said.
Others who were present at the occasion included former PCC chief Saifuddin Soz, MLA Haji Abdul Rashid Dar and other senior party leader.
