Shabir shah, Nayeem khan and others pay tributes to martyr Waseem Dar

Srinagar, Jan 11: A delegation of Hurriyat Conference led by senior resistance leader and chairman Democratic Freedom Party, Shabir Ahmad Shah today visited the family of  Waseem Ahmad Dar at their Dogripura residence in South Kashmir’s Awantipora. Senior Hurriyat leader and chairman, National Front, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Islamic Political Party, Muhammad Yusuf Naqash and Muhammad Yasin Ataai were also among the delegation.

The leaders while paying rich tributes to  Waseem said the whole nation is the guardian of his precious sacrifice and that no one will be allowed to play with their sacred blood.

Earlier, the leaders addressed a large public gathering in the area. Shabir Shah, while reiterating his demand of resolving Kashmir issue as per the wishes and aspirations of its people said that had India resolved this longstanding issue rather than resorting to force and implementing black laws against freedom fighters, lakhs of lives could have been saved. “The massacres and killings taking place in Kashmir is the result of India’s stubbornness in resolving this burning
issue,” Shah added.

Terming Waseem Ahmad Dar’s martyrdom as a part of those invaluable sacrifices who fought against the illegal occupation of India, Shah said they all laid their lives for the right to self determination. The senior Hurriyat leader said, those showing dishonesty with the freedom movement will not be allowed to use Hurriyat platform. “We are using Hurriyat platform for resolving the Kashmir issue as per the wishes of our martyrs and our constitution is crystal clear that we want Kashmir issue to be resolved by implemeting UN resolutions or through tripartite talks.”

Shah said the UN resolutions provide constitutional basis for Kashmir issue and it is the responsibility of United Nations to find the solution to this issue and to stress upon India in resolving this longstanding dispute. “The issue of Jammu and Kashmir is not any border dispute between India and Pakistan but is an issue concerning
the future of a nation” Shah added.
