Govt authorizes CEO to shift students to adjoining schools, readjust staff
Srinagar, Nov 16: Government has authorized Chief education Officers to immediately shift the students of schools, which have been damaged during the present unrest, to the adjoining schools.
The order number 3-Edu- of 2016 dated November 10, 2016, has also authorized these officials to readjust the staff of these schools in relaxation of the transfer policy.
“Over the past few months of unrest/Hartal, a number of schools have been partially/ fully damaged in incidents of arson. As a consequence, classes cannot be held for students in schools thereby putting the students of these schools in disadvantage position,” reads the order in possession of Kashmir News Service (KNS).
It further said that new session is about to commence and interests of students of these schools have to be safeguarded.
“Chief education Officers are authorized to immediately shift the students of schools, which have been damaged during the present unrest, to the adjoining schools,” it reads.

The rising incidents of burning of school buildings has set alarm bells ringing for the government which has further delayed the chances of reopening of schools in the ongoing uprising in Kashmir.
In the four months around forty government schools buildings were set ablaze by unknown persons in Kashmir, causing fear psychosis among the teachers. (KNS)
